Early Years (Crèche – Reception)

Our Early Years program fosters creativity, social skills, and curiosity through play. With an emphasis on language-rich learning, fine motor skills, and practical life experiences, children build strong foundations for lifelong growth.

Babies & Toddlers

The goal of our learning program is to provide a supportive and caring environment that allows children to learn through a self – discovery process where they can try new things through play, exploration and exposure where we ensure developmentally -appropriate learning opportunities that actively engages a child’s creative & critical thinking skills.

At Imagine, we listen to children’s ideas, take them seriously, and help facilitate their discovery. Mind Aiders plan a curriculum geared to children’s needs with a balance of active and quiet play, both individual and Mind-Aider led.

We know that you will want to be sure that your child is safe and secure in our care and the safety and security of your child is our top priority, too.

Our Mind Aiders will support your child's days in the nursery with great sensitivity and will happily accommodate your family's routines as part of settling in.

A Beautiful Space for Babies to Grow

At Imagine, we are able to accommodate children from 6 weeks old in our Cocoon Roon; a large room with lots of natural light and a cosy Sleep Room, which is attended at all times. Children move on to our Toddler Section – a range of rooms where they can explore experiences including construction, imaginative play, and the exploration of materials. They are cared for by our educators with support from specialists in Music, French, Art, Swimming and STEM for kids, who will work with the children through these enrichment programs.

Child-Centred

At Imagine, we believe that children are intelligent, inquisitive learners, eager to make sense of the world around them. This strong and powerful image of the child influences how we work with children, supporting them in their discoveries and sharing in their wonder and their ideas.
Children are keen to explore and investigate and their work often develops into long-term projects. Our role is to support their investigations and teamwork and give them time to reflect on their learning.

Keeping Parents Involved – Daily Reports

We keep you involved in your child’s progress sharing our observations with you through the online-based App.

We document using photos and videos along with comments by your child and you can access these at home and share them with your family. We also meet with you regularly to talk about your child’s development

Preschool

Spaces which Support Learning

Following on from our Toddler section, children move into the Preschool section where we offer dedicated spaces for construction, exploration, imaginative play, sand & water play, mark-making and working with all the senses.

We have dedicated ‘interest areas’ to support children’s creative expression.

Child-Led Learning through Projects

We believe that children are capable of leading their own learning supported by experienced, expert educators.

We encourage children to develop their own theories, so they can make sense of the world and to explore those theories with their friends. We listen to their ideas, take them seriously and help facilitate their research.

This research often develops into project work which is supported by a team of well-trained Mind Aiders whose role is to bring their experience to provide resources, skills, time, space and to help them overcome discoveries.

Our Approach

Our curriculum is grounded in the National Curriculum for England, providing a strong and internationally recognized academic framework. However, our approach is far-reaching and enriched by the Project Approach, which allows children to explore real-world themes in depth, connect their learning to meaningful contexts, and build critical thinking skills.
